Although both fillers and BOTOX can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, they go about it in different ways. Fillers add volume to an area which can tighten the skin above, reducing or softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. BOTOX works differently, not by adding volume, but by relaxing the surface muscles below the skin. This inhibits wrinkles and lines from showing or forming when you talk or move your brows in the areas treated with BOTOX. The results from fillers are also visible directly after treatment, while skin rejuvenation with BOTOX requires several days to achieve the smoothing effect.
